October 2025 – Ely, Iowa, USA
Recognized for engineering excellence in off-road autonomy.
Mach has been named a winner of the DLG Systems & Components Trophy – Engineers’ Choice 2025 for its breakthrough phased-array radar system, RadX®, redefining perception technology for off-road autonomy.
RadX will be commercially launched and available for order along with Mach’s other autonomy technologies at Agritechnica 2025, Hall 17 | Stand C05, in Hannover, Germany.
Redefining Off-Road Radar
RadX brings true phased-array radar to agriculture, construction, and land management delivering adaptive beamforming, real-time 3D perception through dust and vegetation combined with rugged reliability with no moving parts.
By electronically steering multiple radar beams, RadX achieves higher resolution and greater environmental awareness than conventional sensors, enabling safer and more capable autonomous systems.
“Winning the Systems & Components Trophy is a great honor and testament to the years of hard work our engineering team has invested into creating a truly novel solution for the off-highway market” said Colin Hurd, Founder and CEO of Mach. “RadX helps solve an age-old challenge for autonomous off-road systems, seeing through dust and vegetation to reliably sense obstacles and monitor the quality of work.”
Advancing Machine Intelligence in Agriculture
As detailed in Mach’s white paper, Phased Array Radar Applications in Agriculture, RadX enables a new level of machine intelligence across multiple agricultural applications. Its precise surface mapping capabilities allow for accurate soil-tillage quality assessment, while its advanced sensing enables object detection through vegetation and dust.
RadX also provides highly accurate depth perception and measurement in environments other sensors fail. Together, these capabilities position RadX as a cornerstone technology for the next generation of autonomous agricultural machinery.
About the Systems & Components Trophy
Organized by the DLG (German Agricultural Society), the Trophy recognizes engineering innovations that enhance performance, safety, and sustainability in off-road machinery. The 2025 “Engineers’ Choice” winners were announced ahead of Agritechnica 2025, the world’s largest trade fair for agricultural technology, held this November in Hannover, Germany.
